✨ Fireflies Night Tour in Ben Tre – A Day That Ends in Magic

Some days feel like stories. This is one of them.

At Coco Happy Farm, our Fireflies Night Tour isn’t just a sunset boat ride — it’s a full-day rhythm of nature, cycling, canals, and glowing lights.
It begins in the morning… and ends in the dark, under the gentle sparkle of fireflies dancing in silence.

🌿 Morning – Farm Life and Village Roads

After breakfast, we take a slow walk around the farm — feeding animals, picking fruit, chatting with neighbors. Then we hop on bicycles and ride through quiet village paths, coconut groves, and sleepy hamlets.

There’s no rush. We ride until noon, stopping when we feel like it. By 12:00, we’re back at the farm for a local lunch and a bit of rest.

🛳️ 3:00 PM – The River Awakens

In the afternoon, the real journey begins.

At 3:00 PM, we board a traditional wooden boat from a nearby pier. As the engine hums gently across the canal, the day starts to shift — shadows grow longer, water cooler, and the Mekong begins to whisper.

🛺 4:00 PM – Tuktuk Through Shaded Village Roads

We dock the boat for a while and hop into a tuktuk, winding through small roads where big buses cannot go.

It’s breezy, green, and full of life — ducks waddling, kids playing, locals smiling. Guests often tell us this ride is their favorite surprise of the day.

🛶 5:00 PM – Into the Jungle by Rowboat

We leave the tuktuk behind and step into a narrow canal. There, a local rower takes us through a maze of tiny water paths lined with nipa and mangrove trees.

It’s silent. Almost sacred. As if we’ve drifted into a forest that forgot time.

🌅 5:30 PM – Back to the Big River

We return to the big boat and glide onto the wide Mekong river. As the sun lowers, the water turns gold. By 6:30 PM, we’re floating under a fiery orange sky.

No traffic. No noise. Just the sound of water and the wind through coconut trees.

✨ 6:45 PM – Fireflies on the Bần Trees

This is what we came for.

In the darkest part of the river, where there’s no electric light, the bần trees begin to glow. Hundreds of fireflies blink gently, like stars hanging from branches.

Some guests whisper. Some stay silent. Some cry a little — quietly.

You can’t film this. You just feel it.

🍲 7:15 PM – Home for Dinner and Cocktails

We return to Coco Happy Farm just in time for a warm, home-cooked dinner.

Maybe it’s grilled freshwater prawns (tôm càng xanh), or a comforting bowl of Vietnamese phở, or hủ tiếu, or a sizzling plate of stir-fried noodles.
And yes — every dish has a vegetarian version, made with care and flavor.

For drinks? We have something special.

Thuý, my sister, makes some of the best cocktails in the Mekong:
