Coco Happy Farm – Rustic Farmstay in Ben Tre, Mekong Delta | Free Bike Tour & Seasonal Fruits
Coco Happy Farm was never part of a business plan.
It started with family.
Before creating Coco Happy Farm, I worked as a tour guide in Vietnam. I enjoyed meeting travelers from around the world and sharing my country with them.
But in 2017, life took me in a different direction.
My father was getting older, and our family farm in Ben Tre needed someone to take care of it. Like many families in the Mekong Delta, our land had been passed down through generations.
I made the decision to return home.
At first, I wasn't thinking about tourism. I simply wanted to help my family, take care of the farm, and continue the work that previous generations had started.
Our family has lived and farmed in Ben Tre for generations.
Long before tourists ever visited our village, coconut trees were already part of everyday life here.
My grandparents worked this land.
My parents continued farming it.
Today, our family still cares for the coconut gardens, fruit trees, and small farm that surround Coco Happy Farm.
When guests visit, they are not entering a tourist attraction built for visitors.
They are stepping into a place where real people live and work every day.
That is something we are proud of.
Over time, friends and travelers began visiting our farm.
Many told us they enjoyed seeing a side of Vietnam that felt genuine and untouched by mass tourism.
They enjoyed cycling through the villages.
They enjoyed drinking fresh coconut water directly from the garden.
They enjoyed conversations with local people.
Most importantly, they enjoyed slowing down.
That's when the idea for Coco Happy Farm began to grow.
Not as a hotel.
Not as a resort.
But as a place where travelers could experience everyday life in the Mekong Delta.
As Coco Happy Farm developed, we made an important decision.
We did not want to build a luxury resort.
We did not want to create artificial experiences.
Instead, we wanted to share the life we already had.
The village roads.
The coconut gardens.
The local markets.
The family meals.
The peaceful rhythm of the countryside.
Many of the things our guests enjoy today are simply part of daily life for us.
Coco Happy Farm remains a small family-run business.
Different members of our family help in different ways.
My sister Thúy prepares meals for guests and manages Thúy Café.
Our family continues to maintain the gardens and farm.
Together, we welcome travelers from around the world into our home and community.
Because of this, many guests tell us that staying here feels less like a hotel and more like visiting friends.
That is exactly what we hope to create.
Many travelers ask why they should visit Ben Tre instead of larger destinations.
The answer is simple.
Ben Tre still feels authentic.
Life here moves at a slower pace.
People still travel by bicycle, motorbike, boat, and ferry.
Local markets remain part of everyday life.
The countryside remains green and peaceful.
For travelers looking for a genuine Mekong Delta experience, Ben Tre offers something increasingly rare.
We hope Coco Happy Farm continues to grow, but we also hope it never loses what makes it special.
We want future guests to experience the same things that visitors enjoy today:
Fresh coconuts from the garden
Quiet village roads
Friendly local people
Authentic Mekong Delta culture
Meaningful travel experiences
Growth is important.
But authenticity is more important.
Every guest who stays with us becomes part of the story of Coco Happy Farm.
Whether you stay for one night or several days, we are grateful that you chose to spend part of your journey with our family.
What began as a family farm has become a place where people from around the world meet, share stories, and experience a different side of Vietnam.
And for that, we are incredibly thankful.
Come as a guest, leave as a friend.
